Above, I've added some journaling about our sailing trip on the inside of the doors that were created to hide a photo. This is just one set of pages that we will create together in the Photo/Art journal workshop.

The 'Open the Door' photo art Journal:

Open the Door is an artistic scrapbook-type journal workshop utilizing Altered Book techniques in a blank journal. The photo art journal you'll create will be very mixed media! We will use fabric, paint, Twinkling H2Os and much more in our journals. Do you have lots of photos hanging around that you just haven't done anything with-yet? Are you are hoping to incorporate these photos into a cool art journal? What if you could learn a few new Altered Book techniques while you are at it? Are you looking for an artistic way to share your photos and tell a story at the same time? Then this class is for you!

We'll start with a blank 7-Gypsies house-shaped Mini Maison 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" journal  or any other journal of your choice. We'll add paint, paper, photos, fabric, images, ribbons, charms, transparencies, tissue paper and more to create a very special one-of-a kind photo art journal. The workshop will go over altered book techniques and show you how to cover blank pages, make doors and windows for favorite photos, add text and make your pages sparkle with Twinkling H2Os!

There are 4 lessons for the Open the Door photo art journal class and each lesson is approximately 30 pages long. All lessons include instructions plus step by step photos to illustrate. Following my instructions you can create a unique photo art journal while learning lots of different techniques that can be applied to other projects. Creative Lenna workshops come complete with step-by-step photos and detailed instructions via PDF files that are delivered automatically via a download link that is emailed to you. Additionally, you can reach Lenna via email with questions at anytime.

From Anne St.Louis in Canada, who took this class privately with me via email in August, 2007:

“I must say this was an excellent class. The lessons were incredibly prepared, well written and extremely helpful photos. I don't think I'll ever journal the same way, ever again." Anne

A lovely comment from Claire Hoey in the UK, 3/30/2007:
"Thank you, Lenna for the class, it has been wonderful - your notes are so full, and easy to follow!"
