A Little Creative Space

The Mini Art Quilt Fabric Book workshop has 169 pages and 5 full lessons on learning how to make mini art quilts ~also called: Quilties, fabric collages, and fabric pages! Mini art quilts can be framed to hang and enjoy or you can make them into soft, touchable, and very creative fabric books. Through doing this workshop you will discover that quilties use only the smallest amounts of fabric and are very easy to put together in a short amount of time. Fabric pages/ Quilties are really so much fun to make! A sewing machine is not an absolute requirement for this workshop, although useful. Hand sewing & glueing your fabric pages together is another viable option.
Creative Lenna workshops come complete with step-by-step photos and detailed instructions via PDF files. Additionally, you can reach me by email with any questions. We will go over sewn and non-sewn versions of mini art quilts, how to get started making quilties and what kinds of interesting things you can add to your quilties. We will spend a lot of time during Lesson 2 learning a variety of image transfer methods.
The cost of this 5-lesson workshop is $50.00 payable via PayPal.
Please email me to purchase of one of my workshops. Paypal is a private, secure way to purchase items on-line. No personal information is shared. PayPal accepts all major credit and debit cards, eChecks, bank transfers, and even PayPal balances.
It is typical for students to create between 5-8 mini art quilts during this course and finish their last lesson by putting all of the quilties they have created together, making a fabric book. You will have the opportunity to try new ideas combining fabric, transparencies and paper, and create at least one cover for your fabric book. (There are instructions for a several different types of fabric book covers).

Here are a few testimonials from the happy students I have taught this workshop to! "I just had to pop in to say thank you so much Lenna for a wonderful class. I haven't been here (in the forum) I know but have worked along with your lessons (actually joined up late ;0)) and have had a whale of a time. Your class is well written and so clear and concise. Your ideas are inspirational. I wasn't sure at first if I had picked the right class for me but it turned out to be just the thing I was looking for. I have posted my pages to my blog. I got carried away and did quite a few ;0). I have now completed my very first fabric book. It will not be my last - need to try out all the bindings and I have so many ideas for more quilts. I have read through all the messages and love all the work that everyone has done. Thank you once again."
"My first page is done and the process was fantastic. I'm not usually so spontaneous. I made 7 x 7 pages and the theme started out to be Sisters, but I've decided to add my mom. I feel like a kid coloring out of the lines for the first time! Very freeing. Traditional quilting is much more structured and this is a blast! I will send a picture soon. I love all the ones I've viewed so far, great inspiration."

"I spent yesterday afternoon playing with the transfer techniques. I've never had much success with them before. But, Lenna, your instructions are just great and a light bulb went on for me! I think my favorite, though I think most difficult, is the transparency transfer. I just LOVE the ethereal look it gives the transfer. I also loved you idea, Lenna, of using a vintage hankie. So I dug one out and tried that too. Also used the edge technique from the lesson. Thanks!" Tammy H. in
